Using Testing to Inform Reading and Mathematics Remediation

This session will provide an overview of how assessments can be used to create a profile of a learner and support the development of short, medium and long-term plans for remediation. The session will cover formal psychoeducational evaluations, speech-language reviews, executive function/attention reviews, and tools for continuing progress monitoring like the Feifer Assessment of Reading (FAR) and Feifer Assessment of Mathematics (FAM).

This session is a core course for teaching staff at the Centre for Literacy. Teachers in the community, education assistants and others are also invited to participate.

The cost for this session is $40. Registration can be taken over the phone at 780-434-3698. A discount of 10% is applied if two teachers register and pay at the same time.
