Foundations in Reading Remediation Workshop – Day 2

This workshop is designed for teachers and others who support students with reading. The goal of this workshop is to provide participants with foundational skills to support students who have reading difficulties. Practical strategies will be demonstrated for use in either classroom or one to one teaching environments.

Topics covered will include:

• Acquisition of reading skills among typically developing students
• Identfication of reasons why some students may struggle to read
• Evidence based ‐ intervention strategies to support students who struggle with reading

Participants will be provided with comprehensive course material.

This course will run from Tuesday to Friday in the mornings, 9 am to noon.

The fee for all four days instruction is $300. The program will be capped at 20 participants.
