Number Sense is an early intervention program for Grade 1 and 2 students who are struggling with math fundamentals. The Number Sense Program uses play-based activities to reinforce counting, adding, subtracting, grouping and estimation skills. These skills are fundamental for math mastery.
Who should attend Number Sense?
Students entering Grade 1 or 2:
• who find math very difficult
• whose teachers believe they could benefit from the support
• who are struggling with understanding basic math concepts
• whose parents perceive that their child has delays in math
Number Sense is held over 8 days. The summer program will be held Monday through Thursday daily from July 23rd to August 2nd from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
The cost for the entire series is $300. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to register. This deposit will be applied against the program fees. This program will be capped at 10 students.
