July Sessions – 10 one hour online sessions – July 15 to 19 and July 22 to 26, afternoons
Summer Reading Boosts allow struggling readers, and readers with dyslexia or other learning disorders, entering Grades 2-4, to work on their foundational literacy skills. Students will engage in group work and partner work, facilitated by two teachers, as they advance their reading skills and build confidence.
There are 10 – 60 minute lessons per session. A literacy pre-assessment will be administered prior to the start of the intensive for each student so they can be matched with a partner at a similar level and lessons can be personalized. Then, you will be notified which time slot your student will attend. Students will be assessed at the end of the 10 sessions to report progress.
All sessions are online. Basic tech skills are required. A tech tutorial will be provided at the time of the pre-assessment.
