Number Sense

Addition Chalk BoardThe Centre for Literacy is proud to introduce Number Sense, a play based program designed for early elementary aged students who may be at risk for problems with mathematics.

Program Goals

              • Help students understand foundational the math concepts of counting, adding, subtracting and grouping.
              • Through play and multi-sensory instruction, provide opportunities for review of key math concepts to support long term retention.

The program is based on providing foundational skills to support mastery of Alberta’s Grade 1 and 2 curriculum.

Summer Number Sense!

Number Sense will be offered twice during the Summer of 2014.

July Session:

6 Tuesday & Thursdays,  July 15, 17, 22, 24 29 & 31

August Session:

6 Tuesday & Thursdays, August 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 &  28
